We are seeking a skilled and proactive Kubernetes DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with
Kubernetes (preferably EKS), AWS services
, and automation tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters in production environments, preferably using Amazon EKS.
  • Design and implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform to automate cloud resource provisioning.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python to support deployment and operational tasks.
  • Work with AWS core services (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch) to build and maintain scalable cloud environments.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications, ensuring efficient and reliable deployment workflows.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support application architecture (Java and/or Python).
  • Monitor system performance and reliability using observability tools such as Datadog or Dynatrace.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and best practices across cloud and container environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience with Kubernetes in production environments (EKS preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting and Terraform.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems and container build/deploy workflows.
  • Familiarity with application architecture (Java and/or Python).
  • Exposure to observability tools like Datadog, Dynatrace, or similar.

Salary And Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $79,240– $133,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
