Position Overview ​ As the Director of Surgical Services, you will oversee the strategic, administrative, and clinical operations of the department. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory standards while maintaining the highest quality of patient care. This role requires a hands -on leader who can effectively collaborate with internal departments, physicians, and external stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish and direct the strategic direction for Surgical Services to align with the organization's mission and goals.Oversee daily operations to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care.Collaborate with internal departments to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.Develop and manage operational and capital budgets to ensure fiscal accountability.Implement policies, procedures, and outcome measures to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.Manage staffing levels based on patient needs, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.Coordinate the acquisition and maintenance of equipment and instrumentation to support patient care activities.Investigate and resolve patient complaints with a commitment to timely and effective resolution.Actively participate in hospital committees and initiatives to promote organizational objectives.Provide leadership and development opportunities for staff, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.Collaborate with physicians to integrate their input into service area planning and operations.Drive quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency. RequirementsQualificationsMust have an RN licenseProven experience in surgical services management or a related leadership role in healthcare.Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, patient safety standards, and operational best practices.Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, staffing, and resources effectively.Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem -solving skills.Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and clinical excellence.
