As a Security Officer - Industrial Unarmed Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while you deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor for and report any irregularities or suspicious activities observed during patrols.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as needed regarding security-related matters.
• Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with inquiries while upholding security-related protocols specific to the location.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
