Overview

About the Role:

Brighter Mind Therapy, LLC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Paraprofessional to provide direct 1:1 support to a 20-year-old client receiving Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. This position involves working half the day in a school setting and the other half in the home or community to help the client build independence, communication, and daily living skills. BCBA can sign supervision hours if needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Support the client in academic, social, and functional skill development across school, home, and community environments.
  • Collect accurate data on target behaviors and skill acquisition goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and family members to ensure consistent support and progress.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive, encouraging attitude.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with individuals with special needs required.
  • Must have paraprofessional license or RBT license
  • Must be open to ABA training
  • Familiarity with ABA principles strongly preferred.
  • Prior ABA experience is a plus but not required—training will be provided.
  • Must be reliable, patient, and able to follow structured behavior plans.
  • High school diploma required; some college coursework in psychology, education, or related field preferred.
  • Must pass background check and provide professional references.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • part-time, up to 32 hours per week
  • Split schedule: mornings in school, afternoons in home/community.
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
  • Ongoing training and supervision provided.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
