The Recreation Program Manager is responsible for supervising and expanding the Out of Home Respite Programs to ensure the program meets the philosophical and educational standards of the corporation. This role is part-time, tasked with planning, adapting, and scheduling activities, as well as developing social and recreational programs for children, teens, and adults with developmental and learning disabilities, and changing the way the world sees them, allowing for inclusion within the community.
Your Role & Responsibilities –
- Develops group recreation activities on site and in the community for a wide range of children, teens, and adults.
- Reviews and schedules all activities for Out of Home Recreation Programs.
- Design engaging materials and activities that promote skill development and foster social interaction.
- Coordinates with Program Director for communication of staff needs and concerns.
- Assist with training new staff members with job responsibilities, plan activities and education to follow all policies and procedures to be met.
- Supervises medication distribution systems and related documentation aligning with company policy.
- Conduct observations weekly of all programs and reports findings to Program Director.
- Collaborate in developing the Behavior Support Plans with Program Director.
- Supporting students with behaviors, activities in community, personal assistance, specific goals, and all other objectives as required.
Qualifications –
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
- Experience working with children, teens, and adults with developmental and learning disabilities.
Pay –
$30.00 Hourly
Status –
Part-Time (Saturday Required 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Tuesday - Thursday - 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM
