Quality Control Technician
ANCHORAGE Location
Copper River Seafoods, Inc.
POSITION PURPOSE
The Quality Control (QC) Technician performs inspections, checks, and tests for quality control for the manufacture of products. Their duties include performing QC assays, writing and establishing specifications, assisting in the validation of QC assays, and writing Standard Operating Procedures. The QC Technician is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within quality control. They also perform a variety of tasks to include, but not limited to, activities related to the sanitation of processing equipment and/or associated areas. The QC Technician relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. The QC Technician works under the supervision of and reports to the Plant Manager and Quality Control Trainers. This position may require travel to, and provide QC coverage at various other CRS facilities.
QUALITY CONTROL RESPONSIBILITIES
§ Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
§ Conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation.
§ Responsible for biological and chemical evaluation of final product, intermediate products, raw materials, and production facilities.
§ Communicates information as it relates to out-of-specification products, equipment, packaging materials, and/or raw materials to the QA Manager.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent or 2-4 years of related experience.
SKILLS REQUIRED
§ Proficient at Excel, Word and PC office environment.
§ Strong and accurate written and verbal skills for written and verbal communications.
§ Ability to prioritize projects/programs of greatest need.
§ Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities.
