Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
• Assist with product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction.
• Upsell products and services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer needs are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including merchandising displays and stocking shelves as needed.
• Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling practices are followed.
• Support inventory management through stocking shelves and assisting with product placement.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations within the store.

Requirements

• Previous experience in cashiering or customer service is preferred, particularly in a grocery store or retail environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Experience with POS systems is highly desirable.
• Supervising experience is a plus for potential leadership opportunities within the role.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances customer interaction capabilities.
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and retail sales strategies is beneficial.
