ORTHODONTIC ASSISTANT POSITION (FULL , PART TIME, or TEMPORARY)

What we are looking for:

A FULL or PART TIME orthodontic assistant. Examples of assisting duties include:

CLINICAL

-tying/untying arch wires

-changing arch wires

-bonding brackets

-fitting/cementing orthodontic bands

-taking clinical photographs

-taking x-rays (lateral ceph and panoramic)

-taking 3D study models (iTero, 3shape)

-taking occasional alginate impressions

-instrument sterilization

-chair side set-up and clean-up

ADMINISTRATIVE

-greeting patients at check-in

-making appointments

-taking payments

-verifying insurance and submitting insurance claims

-new patient uptake phone calls

-arranging clinical photographs in layouts

-explain in simple terms the steps involved in treatment to patients/parents

-managing spreadsheets

-monitor cleanliness of lobby, front desk, and patient restroom

If you do not have experience in these areas, it may be possible for you to be trained as an intern depending on your willingness/ability to learn.
