Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in New York, NY for a Sous Chef at The Fireman Hospitality Group. The Sous Chef will assist in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring food safety compliance. Responsibilities include supporting the Head Chef in developing and executing menus, maintaining high culinary standards, and training team members. The Sous Chef will help ensure excellent food quality and collaborate with the team to create memorable dining experiences.
Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation, menu planning, and culinary techniques
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to train and mentor staff
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper kitchen sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional cooking experience preferred
- Prior experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership position preferred
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through innovative and high-quality cuisine
