Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to oversee the housekeeping operations within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and cleaning management, ensuring that our facilities maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing an excellent environment for both guests and staff.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, including cleaning schedules and staff assignments.
  • Ensure all areas of the facility are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to promote efficiency and high-quality service.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall hotel operations and enhance the guest experience.

Experience

  • Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar role within the hospitality industry is required.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, industrial cleaning practices, and janitorial procedures.
  • Previous hotel experience is preferred, with a solid understanding of hospitality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of housekeeping operations.
  • Experience in custodial services is an asset, along with familiarity with safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
