Client Contact Specialist

About the Role
The Client Contact Specialist (Junior Loan Officer Training Program) is the first step in M5 Financial's Junior Loan Officer Career Track — a high-performance, fast-growth opportunity for individuals looking to break into the mortgage industry.
This role focuses on lead engagement, outbound calling, and pipeline development, acting as the bridge between marketing-generated leads and our licensed Loan Officers. You'll be responsible for initiating first contact, gathering essential loan data, identifying refinance opportunities, and live-transferring warm prospects to our licensed team.
This is a sales development role in mortgage finance, designed to prepare you to become a full Loan Officer.
What You'll Do
Daily Responsibilities
- Make 300–400 outbound calls per day to homeowners identified through targeted data lists (VA, FHA, Conventional).
- Initiate conversations, build rapport, and quickly identify borrower intent regarding refinancing or cash-out options.
- Gather 5 key qualifying data points to determine lead viability (current rate, loan balance, credit range, property location, and intent).
- When qualified, live-transfer warm leads directly to licensed Loan Officers for application and structuring.
- Use M5 systems (HubSpot, Arrive, phone dialer) to track conversations, update contact details, and log disposition notes.
- Participate in daily 90-minute call sprints with the team to maximize contact ratio and lead velocity.
- Work closely with senior LOs to understand rate strategy, loan products, and high-converting talking points.
- Support the team during "strike-rate periods" (rate dips) with increased outbound activity.
Why This Role is a Game-Changer
- Career Path Into Loan Officer:
This is the official entry point into M5's Junior Loan Officer Program. High performers may transition into LICENSING sponsorship and an LO seat.
- High-Earning Potential:
While this is an entry role, compensation includes per-qualified-lead bonuses and opportunities to earn additional income through performance incentives.
- Elite Training:
You'll learn:
- How to structure refinance opportunities
- How to identify VA IRRRL, mini cash-out, FHA streamline, and conventional savings scenarios
- How to use modern mortgage tech and CRM systems
- How to communicate high-value financial solutions to borrowers
- Invaluable Sales Skillset:
You'll develop the same sales muscles used by top Loan Officers — tonality, objection handling, rate positioning, payment reduction strategies, and consultative sales.
Who Thrives in This Role
Successful Mortgage Development Associates are:
- Highly motivated and competitive
- Strong communicators with quick processing speed
- Excited about finance, sales, or real estate
- Comfortable with high-volume outreach
- Eager to grow into a six-figure Loan Officer role
- Coachable, hungry, and disciplined
No mortgage experience required — but a passion for sales and a willingness to outwork others is essential.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport quickly
- Comfort making high-volume outbound calls
- Ability to learn mortgage products and rate dynamics
- Reliable, consistent, and detail-oriented work ethic
Preferred (Not Required)
- Customer service, sales, or call experience
- Interest in becoming NMLS licensed
- Experience using outbound dialers, CRMs, or call tracking systems
Compensation & Structure
- Base hourly pay
- Bonus per qualified live-transfer lead
- Weekly performance incentives
- Opportunity for promotion into Junior Loan Officer role (licensed) based on performance
- Full training provided
