Position Summary

The Sales & Data Manager oversees Kula Sports Performance's new athlete assessment process, front desk operations, and internal performance data systems.

This role bridges
sales and operations
, ensuring every new athlete inquiry is converted efficiently, and all athlete data is accurately captured and leveraged for client retention and communication.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Onboarding

  • Manage the entire
    New Athlete Assessment Process
    — from inquiry to scheduled evaluation to membership conversion.
  • Conduct or oversee initial athlete consultations (phone, email, and in-person).
  • Maintain and grow assessment conversion rates and monthly membership sales.
  • Coordinate with coaches to align program placement and athlete experience.

Front Desk & Communication

  • Serve as the main point of contact for athletes, parents, and teams during check-ins.
  • Manage front desk operations (calls, walk-ins, retail sales, facility communication).
  • Maintain an elevated, professional brand experience for all visitors.

Data Management

  • Track assessment metrics, training sessions, and athlete results via KSP's internal data dashboards.
  • Partner with coaching staff to ensure performance metrics (force plates, sprint data, etc.) are updated.
  • Prepare monthly reporting summaries for executive team and marketing.

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing team to ensure lead tracking and funnel management.
  • Support promotional events, testing days, and onboarding workshops.
  • Contribute to operational efficiency projects and CRM optimization.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in sales, fitness management, or sports performance coordination.
  • Strong data literacy (Excel, Google Sheets, CRM experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
  • Energetic, organized, and detail-oriented; thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working around athletes, parents, and coaches.

Performance Metrics

  • Assessment conversion rate (target 60%+).
  • Monthly revenue from assessments and new memberships.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of data reporting.
  • Client satisfaction and first-touch retention.
