Position Summary
The Sales & Data Manager oversees Kula Sports Performance's new athlete assessment process, front desk operations, and internal performance data systems.
This role bridges
sales and operations
, ensuring every new athlete inquiry is converted efficiently, and all athlete data is accurately captured and leveraged for client retention and communication.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Onboarding
- Manage the entire
New Athlete Assessment Process
— from inquiry to scheduled evaluation to membership conversion. - Conduct or oversee initial athlete consultations (phone, email, and in-person).
- Maintain and grow assessment conversion rates and monthly membership sales.
- Coordinate with coaches to align program placement and athlete experience.
Front Desk & Communication
- Serve as the main point of contact for athletes, parents, and teams during check-ins.
- Manage front desk operations (calls, walk-ins, retail sales, facility communication).
- Maintain an elevated, professional brand experience for all visitors.
Data Management
- Track assessment metrics, training sessions, and athlete results via KSP's internal data dashboards.
- Partner with coaching staff to ensure performance metrics (force plates, sprint data, etc.) are updated.
- Prepare monthly reporting summaries for executive team and marketing.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Partner with marketing team to ensure lead tracking and funnel management.
- Support promotional events, testing days, and onboarding workshops.
- Contribute to operational efficiency projects and CRM optimization.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in sales, fitness management, or sports performance coordination.
- Strong data literacy (Excel, Google Sheets, CRM experience preferred).
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Energetic, organized, and detail-oriented; thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working around athletes, parents, and coaches.
Performance Metrics
- Assessment conversion rate (target 60%+).
- Monthly revenue from assessments and new memberships.
- Accuracy and timeliness of data reporting.
- Client satisfaction and first-touch retention.
