Senior Project Manager (Electrification & Power Conversion) Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager specializing in Electrification and Power Conversion to lead the full lifecycle execution of complex projects within the defense and offshore sectors. The successful candidate will drive project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives. This pivotal role involves managing cross-functional teams, maintaining excellent client relationships, and delivering innovative solutions that meet rigorous industry standards.

Senior Project Manager (Electrification & Power Conversion)
Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple large-scale industrial electrification and power conversion projects from initial order acceptance to final handover.
  • Oversee engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and field execution activities across both internal and subcontracted teams.
  • Ensure project scope, schedule, cost, and quality commitments are achieved or exceeded.
  • Serve as the primary client interface, fostering transparency, trust, and long-term collaboration.
  • Manage project governance processes, including risk assessments, progress reporting, and milestone tracking.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams, driving accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Lead project communication efforts, including kick-off meetings, status updates, and closure documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards, as well as quality and compliance requirements.
  • Own and manage project financials, including revenue, margins, cash collection, and forecasting.
  • Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for improving project profitability and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular project reviews with leadership and stakeholders to ensure alignment and performance.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal teams, addressing technical or commercial challenges proactively.

Senior Project Manager (Electrification & Power Conversion) Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in electrification, power systems, industrial, or marine projects.
  • Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and managing customer-facing projects.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing project P&L, revenue, and margins.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to make sound technical and strategic decisions under pressure.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required; ability to obtain security clearance preferred.

Senior Project Manager (Electrification & Power Conversion) Preferred Position Requirements

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms.
  • PMP or other relevant professional certification.
  • Background in defense, marine, or offshore industries.
  • Knowledge of government contracting frameworks (e.g., FAR/DFAR).
  • Technical expertise in power conversion and automation systems, such as VFDs, power controls, and marine propulsion.
  • Demonstrated leadership of diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
