Los Angeles, California, United States Petersen Automotive Museum Full time

About the role

The Partnership and Experience Account Manager is a highly organized, detail-

oriented professional with a genuine passion for cars, car culture, and the experiences

that unite automotive enthusiasts. This role operates at the intersection of strategic

partnership management and premium guest experiences, and is critical to ensuring

sponsor and partner relationships are managed with rigor, consistency, and

professionalism across all related events and activations.

On one side of the role, you will own the day-to-day management of assigned partner

accounts—serving as a primary point of contact and ensuring reporting is delivered on

time, contractual obligations are tracked and fulfilled, meetings are proactively

scheduled, and follow-ups are executed with precision. You will be responsible for

maintaining partner confidence through reliable execution and clear communication.

On the other side of the role, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing

to help plan, project manage, and deliver distinctive partner-led events, rallies, and

experiences that celebrate automotive culture and bring the Petersen brand to life for

our guests, members, and broader enthusiast community.

This is an ideal role for someone who values structure and accountability, takes pride in

operational excellence, and is energized by translating partnerships into authentic,

customer-centric automotive experiences—both behind the scenes and on the ground

at events, immersed in a shared love of cars.

What you'll do

Partnership Administration & Coordination

● Serve as the day-to-day administrative point of contact for sponsors and

partners, ensuring clear communication and consistent follow-through.

● Track, manage, and report on contractual deliverables, ensuring all partner

commitments are met accurately, on time, and within scope.

●Prepare and distribute regular partnership reports, updates, and documentation.

● Schedule and coordinate meetings, manage agendas, document outcomes, and

oversee follow-ups and next steps.

● Collaborate with internal teams to ensure partner recognition and visibility across

events, marketing materials, and communications.

Event & Experience Planning

● Support the planning, coordination, and execution of premium guest experiences,

including vehicle rallies, cruise-ins, and curated museum events.

● Work in partnership with the Director of Marketing to help shape event concepts

with partners, timelines, and execution plans.

● Manage participant, sponsor, and partner communications before and after

events, ensuring clarity, professionalism, and a high-touch guest experience.

● Coordinate logistics with internal teams and external vendors, including

schedules, materials, merchandise, and on-site requirements.

● Attend and support events on-site, helping ensure smooth execution and a

positive experience for guests, partners, and stakeholders.

Project Management

● Develop and maintain detailed project plans for events and partnership initiatives,

including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

● Monitor progress across multiple concurrent projects, proactively identifying risks

and proposing solutions.

● Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within agreed parameters.

● Conduct post-event and post-initiative reviews, capturing insights and

opportunities for continuous improvement.

Relationship Management

● Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with sponsors, partners,

vendors, and internal stakeholders.

● Represent the Petersen Automotive Museum with professionalism,

responsiveness, and attention to detail in all interactions.

Reporting & Analysis

●Prepare post-event summaries and partnership performance reports.

● Analyze feedback and performance data to help inform future planning and

enhancements.

Qualifications

● 3+ years of experience in partnership coordination, event planning, project

management, or a related field.

● Exceptional organizational and administrative skills, with a strong attention to

detail.

● Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence interacting with a

range of stakeholders.

● Experience delivering against contractual or agreed partner commitments.

● Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in fast-paced

environments.

● Passion for automotive culture, events, or experiential marketing is a strong plus.

Working Conditions

● Office-based role in Los Angeles.

● Willingness to travel as required for events and activations.

● Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to support event delivery.
