Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic, focused leader with a proven track record in sales management to join our team. The Sales Director/Sales Lead is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the automotive sales department. This role involves leading a team of sales representatives to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction. We are a family owned Electric Vehicle specialty dealership that is growing at a fast pace. We use a one person sales process where the sales person is a hybrid of BDC, Sales and F&I. We use technology to enhance all aspects of our processes.

Responsibilities

Sales Team Management:

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Motivate, train, mentor, provide accountability, monitor goals

Sales Process Oversight:

  • Ensure adherence to the dealership's sales process and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement strategies to enhance sales effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Motivate and inspire the team to achieve sales targets and exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and dealership policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Skills

  • Demonstrates kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
  • 3+ year automotive management experience preferred; we are open to other experience that would qualify you as a candidate.
  • Experience in supervising teams with a focus on employee engagement and development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong phone etiquette.
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive industry and sales processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with effective time management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting: The majority of the workday is spent sitting at a desk, using a computer and phone.
  • Standing and Walking: There may be times when the sales manager needs to stand, walk around the dealership, or attend meetings.
  • Reaching and Bending: The manager may need to reach for files, supplies, or equipment.
  • Lifting: Occasionally, there might be a need to lift or move documents, supplies, or equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Projected Total Compensation: $75, $150,000.00 per year
