The Americas Commissioning Equipment Planner ensures data center commissioning projects in North and South America have the equipment, plans, and budget needed to stay on schedule. This role connects strategic planning with daily operations and relies heavily on managing costs and working with different teams.

ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities
- Equipment Planning: Coordinate and schedule delivery, pickup, and use of key testing equipment (like load banks and power monitors) across multiple data center sites, making sure every project has what it needs on time.
- Budget Management: Plan and track spending for equipment rentals, purchases, and logistics. Prepare budgets, get approvals, and make sure expenses stay within limits.
- Procurement Support: Work with suppliers and internal teams to get price quotes, start purchase orders, and help process contracts. Coordinate renewals and ensure vendor agreements meet project needs.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with finance, site operations, suppliers, and engineering teams to share project updates, solve problems, and keep everyone informed about schedules and requirements.
- Strategic Planning: Analyze future needs, plan for new equipment purchases, and suggest improvements for more efficient operations.
- Process Improvement: Help automate reports, develop dashboards, and improve how key project data is tracked.
- Risk Management: Watch for issues that could delay projects or increase costs and take action to prevent or fix them—like arranging rentals or replacements if equipment fails.

Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in data science/analytics, engineering, industrial engineering, supply chain, operations, or project management with a supply chain or operations field
- OR equivalent experience.
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in data science/analytics, engineering, or project management with a supply chain or operations field
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Operations, or related field AND 8+ years experience in data science/analytics, engineering, or project management with a supply chain or operations field
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience with database technologies.
Expert proficiency in Power BI (dashboard creation, data modeling, DAX)
Advanced analytical skills; high proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas; VBA a plus).
Experience with SQL or other data tools is beneficial.
Certifications: APICS CPIM/CSCP, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or Microsoft's Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) are a plus.
Knowledge of database or scripting languages (SQL, Python, R) for advanced analysis or data automation.
Integrated Business Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
