Harbor Talent Group has been retained for a confidential search for an Outside Sales Consultant located in Strongsville, Ohio. The Outside Sales Consultant is responsible for driving growth by being a brand ambassador, cultivating referral networks, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring a seamless client experience. This role works closely with internal teams to uphold our reputation for integrity, professionalism, and exceptional service delivery.
The ideal candidate will build relationships with referral partners (such as realtors, mortgage brokers, and community professionals) and prospective clients, conduct on-site and virtual consultations, prepare accurate proposals, and guide customers through each stage of the engagement process. Success in this position requires outstanding communication, proactive follow-up, and strong relationship-building skills, all delivered with professionalism and a commitment to core values.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service throughout the sales cycle by building trust, ensuring satisfaction, and fostering repeat and referral business.
- Proactively identify and pursue new leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and community outreach.
- Conduct detailed in-person and virtual consultations to assess client needs, provide accurate project estimates, and recommend tailored solutions.
- Present compelling proposals, negotiate effectively, and close sales to meet or exceed individual and team targets.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, estimates, and client interactions in CRM software.
- Collaborate with internal operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Actively participate in local professional networking groups to grow referral partnerships.
- Deliver engaging presentations to key community and business partners on a regular basis.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with top local referral sources.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in outside sales, ideally within a service-based or consultative selling environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect across diverse audiences
- Detail-oriented with excellent organization, prioritization, and follow-up skills
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using CRM and communication platforms
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel locally for client meetings and networking events
