We are seeking individuals who are passionate about hospitality and possess a keen attention to detail to join our Engineering team as an Engineer 1- Kitchen Mechanic.

Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)
The kitchen mechanic has the responsibility of maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the proper function of all kitchen equipment and appliances in the hotel. This role is crucial in keeping the kitchen operational to deliver the best product to our guests and ensures the equipment is safe for our staff.

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, fryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, walk in refrigerators and freezers, ice machines, and toasters.
  • Perform Preventative maintenance on kitchen appliances to reduce breakdowns.
  • Maintain appropriate logs of maintenance schedule utilizing our work order system Hotsos. Complete work orders utilizing our work order system Hotsos.
  • Maintain a parts inventory for all kitchen equipment
  • Diagnose and trouble shoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues related to kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes.
  • Fostering a relationship with the culinary and stewarding team communicate issues and timelines on repairs.
  • Assist with Capital projects on installation or upgrades of new kitchen equipment.
  • Communicating what parts are needed to complete a repair to your supervisor.
  • Keeps a clean, organized, and safe work area while repairs are being completed

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

  • Ability to lift 80lbs
  • Work well with others and interact with guests and members on a limited basis.
  • Repairs and adjusts engines and cutting mechanisms
  • Keeps maintenance equipment fueled, oiled an inspects and performs related tasks as required.
