Description

Buchart Horn, Inc. is looking for a Vice President of Transportation to lead our Transportation Strategic Business Unit (SBU).

In this executive role, you'll guide a talented team, drive business growth, and ensure our projects deliver exceptional technical quality and client value all while staying true to our Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Guiding Principles.



What You'll Do

  • Lead and grow the Transportation SBU, setting strategy and ensuring profitability.
  • Serve as a Director on Buchart Horn's Board of Directors, upholding fiduciary responsibility to the company.
  • Develop and execute a Strategic Business Plan aligned with corporate goals.
  • Oversee financial performance, budgets, and resource planning for all projects.
  • Mentor and develop leadership staff, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, driving new business opportunities and repeat work.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and approve contracts and proposals.
  • Promote teamwork across all SBUs and disciplines to deliver multi-disciplinary excellence.
  • Establish and uphold standards for quality, performance, and client satisfaction.
Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required); Master's preferred.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) required.
  • 10+ years of progressive engineering design and leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage business operations, and drive growth.
  • Strong communication, financial management, and strategic planning skills.
  • Deep understanding of engineering principles, project delivery, and client engagement.
