Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Operations Management

  • Oversee all aspects of warehouse and logistics operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatching, and shipping activities.
  • Manage Free Trade Zone (FTZ) or bonded warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with customs and trade regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective warehouse structures, roles, and responsibilities to optimize resource utilization.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment by coordinating with suppliers, transportation providers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage and coordinate crating and rigging support for inter-company and supplier shipments.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external senior leadership on operational performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Leverage data-driven insights and Excel-based analytics to support operational decision-making.

Inventory Management & Systems

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular audits, reconciliations, and cycle counts.
  • Utilize ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and shipping applications for real-time tracking and reporting.
  • Drive process improvements through system enhancements and best-practice inventory management.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop logistics and warehouse teams, including supervisors and material handlers.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet business demands.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide training on operational standards, safety, and specific work procedures.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce workplace safety protocols and ensure compliance with all OSHA and related regulations.
  • Oversee the security of facilities, goods, and materials throughout all logistics operations.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance and support cross-departmental relationships.
  • Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure alignment with internal policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.

Planning & Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Transportation, and Customer Service teams to optimize logistics planning and execution.
  • Contribute to strategic planning efforts to improve cost efficiency, customer satisfaction, and operational scalability.
Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in coordination, warehouse, or supply chain operations; at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing FTZ or bonded warehouse environments.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; proficiency in Excel, ERP, and WMS systems.

SKILLS

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Deep understanding of safety and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., OSHA).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive process improvement.
