Job Summary

Responsible for planning and implementing public relations/communications goals. Develops and implements media communications strategy and system-wide crisis communication plans. Coordinates system-wide employee communications such as publications, collateral print materials, etc.; produces audio/visual productions for various audiences. Enhances community relationships through coordination of special events and other community/business relationship opportunities.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Develops effective internal and external communications strategies.

  • Represents the Company in small and large group settings to promote the Company and the brand on important public policy issues.

  • Works closely with VP, PR to keep him/her well informed on public policy Issues, debates and trends and providing proactive advice on the impact and relevance of these Issues to the Company.

  • Directs the external engagement of the leadership team as it relates to outreach on public policy issues.

  • Implements an effective measurement and analysis approach for campaigns that will support prioritization of activities and investments.

  • Plans, directs and controls campaign efforts as they relate to branding.

  • Determines and recommends how to deliver and manage the information flow outside of the company to diverse audiences.

  • Develops and sustains the mutual understanding between an organization and its public use of media and communications to project and protect the appropriate image.

  • Develops public relations initiatives aligned with business requirements.

  • Provides cross-functional communication related to projects.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Prior Comcast experience required.
