Job Summary
Reports to: SVP, Community Growth and Economic DevelopmentThis role supports the SVP of Community Growth and Economic Development, manages department operations, and strengthens Comcast's engagement with organizations and initiatives that drive community growth and economic development across our markets.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Support planning and execution of speaking engagements for the SVP, ensuring messaging, participation, and communications are impactful and aligned with strategic goals.
- Prepare briefs, talking points, and strategic guidance to enhance the SVP's engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assess trends and emerging opportunities in community and economic development to recommend strategies that support Comcast's business objectives.
- Support development and management of the company's chambers of commerce engagement strategy, including effective company and board member engagement with chambers of commerce.
- Monitor and identify opportunities to promote investments in community growth and economic development.
- Maintain a catalog of formal partnerships with third-party organizations focused on community growth and economic development, and assist in managing these relationships as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Professional Experience, Qualifications, & Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in economic development, community engagement, public affairs, or managing partnerships with business organizations.
- Demonstrated experience working with economic development agencies, chamber of commerce, or business associations.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner with an attention to detail.
- Excellent relationship management skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Proven experience acting in a proactive, solutions-oriented manner, looking for ways to add value and assist the team.
- Maintains the highest levels of ethical conduct and integrity.
- A strong desire to continually improve and undertake new challenges.
