Residential Installation Technician

Our Residential Installation Technicians install and service the equipment associated with residential overhead doors. Providing the best customer service in the industry allows us to continue raising the bar on what quality service looks like.

Essential Functions 

  1. Responsible for loading the company trucks with the required materials for that day
  2. Perform new installations and service on residential overhead doors and electric openers, as well as retro work (replacement doors)
  3. Install and service electrical and mechanical equipment to meet manufacturer standards
  4. Work onsite to repair doors, operators, rolling and sectional doors, and secure brackets to mounting posts
  5. Ensure a safe environment by monitoring the door area and clearing debris, tools, and equipment from the job site
  6. Maintain a service truck, ensuring it is clean and in good working condition
  7. Clear communication with team members ensuring directions for a job are clear, updating the office when job is done
  8. Assisting team members with other job sites and covering to complete quick service calls
  9. Utilize tech support for troubleshooting equipment
  10. Thoroughly document all work performed and make recommendations for repairs

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Residential environment
  • Prolonged periods in changing climates
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times

Travel

  • This job requires no planned business travel.

Education and Experience

  • Mechanical Knowledge (Preferred)
  • Electrical experience (Preferred) 
  • Residential Garage Door experience
  • High School Diploma
  • 0-1 Years of experience
