As a Residential Electrician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems in homes. What you'll do

  • Install, maintain, and repair residential electrical systems including wiring, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to execute electrical installations effectively.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently while adhering to the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems to identify issues or areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with clients to discuss their needs and provide expert advice on electrical solutions.
  • Perform renovations that involve high voltage and low voltage systems with precision.
  • Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of services provided.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on construction sites.

Basic qualifications

  • Proven experience as an electrician with a strong understanding of residential electrical systems.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
  • Background as an industrial or commercial electrician is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with using an ohmmeter for testing electrical circuits.
  • Experience in frame carpentry or maintenance person tasks that complement electrical work.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and site safety protocols.
