Position Overview

As an Estimator at Element PCC, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of commercial construction projects. You'll work closely with the project management team, clients, and subcontractors to ensure budgets align with project scopes and timelines. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a proactive mindset, and a strong ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimate Preparation: Develop detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Scope Reviews: Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure all requirements are included in the estimate.
• Bid Coordination: Identify and solicit bids from qualified subcontractors and vendors. Evaluate and compare bids to select the most competitive and qualified options.
• Preconstruction Support: Collaborate with the project management team to identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Project Handoff: Provide thorough estimate breakdowns and reports to the project management team, ensuring a smooth transition from preconstruction to execution.
• Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and subcontractor availability to ensure competitive pricing.
• Client Interaction: Build strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide accurate and transparent cost estimates.
• New Business/Business Development: Support efforts to identify and secure new project opportunities through client outreach, networking, and proposal preparation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an Estimator in commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and processes.
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools (e.g., AutoDesk, ProCore PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar programs).
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a high attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Familiarity with prevailing wage projects and compliance is highly desirable.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new software and processes.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Compensation

• Annual Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 (depending on experience)
• Performance-Based Bonuses tied to project profitability
