Residential Painter

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong understanding of color theory, construction practices, and the ability to work on both residential and commercial projects. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching as needed.
• Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements.
• Estimate materials and time required for each project accurately.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure quality workmanship.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as caulking, plastering, and drywall repair.
• Execute restoration projects with precision to preserve the integrity of existing structures.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during all phases of work.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of projects.

Skills

• Proficient in construction estimating and basic math for material calculations.
• Strong knowledge of color theory and its application in residential and commercial painting.
• Experience with various painting techniques including airless paint spraying and industrial painting.
• Familiarity with plastering, stucco application, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and concrete finishing.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and understand renovation plans effectively.
• Experience in maintenance person tasks including fixture installation and general maintenance.
• Knowledge of masonry practices is a plus.
