Position:
IAM Solution Architect

Location:
Chicago, IL (3–4 days onsite)

Overview:

Our client is revamping their
security and compliance processes
with a strong emphasis on enhancing the
end-user experience
. They are seeking an experienced
IAM (Identity & Access Management) Solution Architect
to evaluate existing tools, recommend improvements, and design a modernized security landscape that serves both
internal employees and external customers
.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess current IAM tools, frameworks, and processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Design and architect scalable, secure, and user-friendly IAM solutions for internal and customer-facing applications.
  • Develop a comprehensive roadmap for implementing IAM best practices across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Security, Compliance, IT, and Business Units) to align IAM strategies with corporate goals.
  • Recommend and guide the adoption of next-generation IAM technologies (e.g., SSO, MFA, PAM, CIAM).
  • Ensure solutions comply with regulatory requirements, corporate security standards, and audit guidelines.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship in IAM strategy, design, and implementation.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of IT/security experience with at least 7+ years in IAM architecture or solution design.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing IAM solutions in
    large corporate environments
    .
  • Hands-on expertise with IAM technologies such as
    Okta, SailPoint, Ping Identity, Azure AD, CyberArk, ForgeRock, or similar tools
    .
  • Strong knowledge of
    identity governance, authentication, authorization, and federation protocols
    (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, etc.).
  • Experience with
    security compliance frameworks
    (SOX, HIPAA, ISO, NIST, GDPR, etc.).
  • Ability to balance technical security requirements with an excellent
    end-user experience
    .
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to present solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
