What you will do:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Learning & Development Specialist to join our dynamic Learning and Development team. This role is pivotal in managing our Learning & Development e-learning programs, live training schedule within our Learning Management System and assisting with in-person learning program management and setup. The ideal candidate will evaluate existing training content for potential e-learning conversion, create new engaging e-learning materials, and collaborate with various departments across the organization to bring successful L&D programs to the organization.
Here's a day in the life:
Content Development:
- Design, develop and review e-learning content ensuring integration of current technology and best practices in e-learning.
- Review existing training content on a regular basis to ensure up to date information and partner with Subject Matter Experts to update materials.
- Create job aids and learning tools to assist learners in understanding new systems, tools and concepts.
Learning Management System (LMS) Management:
- Understand and administrate Cornerstone Learning Management System for Learning & Development professional programs including posting e-learning, pulling reports, recording attendance and scheduling live training.
- Assist with optimization of the Cornerstone Learning Management System to enhance user experience and engagement.
Program Deployment:
- Coordinate the deployment of learning programs by uploading and testing e-learnings, planning and coordinating in-person learning sessions including ordering materials and classroom setup.
- Partnering with our Communications team to draft communications for new learning programs and create the monthly learning newsletter advertising upcoming training offerings.
User Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide support and troubleshooting for LMS-related inquiries from learners across the organization.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Utilize LMS reporting capabilities to develop custom reports that aid in planning and assessing the company's training initiatives.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in training, adult education, or multimedia content development preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an e-learning designer or LMS administrator.
- Familiarity with Cornerstone LMS is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experienced in using e-learning design software such as Articulate 360.
- Knowledge of Canva and video editing software.
Knowledge & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of Learning Management Systems and adult learning theory, with the ability to apply these concepts in an e-learning, job aid or presentation context.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Self-motivated team player with minimal supervision required.
