Position Summary
Under the direction of the Counseling & Recovery Services Director, the LADC Treatment Director & Supervisor oversees daily operations of the 245G program, providing leadership, clinical expertise, and program management. This role ensures regulatory compliance, supports staff development, and delivers culturally informed recovery services. The Treatment Director guides and mentors clinical professionals, addresses client and program challenges, and upholds the highest standards of ethical and person-centered care for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate LADC staff, Peer Recovery Specialists, Care Coordinator and interns.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Minnesota Statutes Chapter 245G, HRSA and Joint Commission compliant clinical documentation, policies and procedures for the program.
  • Provide professional guidance and leadership that models ethical, client-centered care.
  • Carry a caseload that includes individual clients and the ability to facilitate groups when needed within the 245G program.
  • Coordinate workflows for Comprehensive Assessments, service plans, program activities and discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with community partners to ensure integrated, effective client care.
  • Lead staff education and professional development initiatives.
  • Support quality improvement, compliance monitoring, and program reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
The LADC Treatment Director & Supervisor must meet all qualifications under Minnesota Statutes Chapter 245G for treatment directors, alcohol and drug counselor supervisors AND alcohol and drug counselors. Listed below.

  • Subd. 3.Treatment directors.

A Treatment Director Must

  • have at least one year of work experience in direct service to an individual with substance use disorder or one year of work experience in the management or administration of direct service to an individual with substance use disorder;
  • have a baccalaureate degree or three years of work experience in administration or personnel supervision in human services; and
  • know and understand the implications of this chapter, sections and , and chapters 245A and 260E. Demonstration of the treatment director's knowledge must be documented in the personnel record.
  • Subd. 4.Alcohol and drug counselor supervisors.

An Alcohol And Drug Counselor Supervisor Must

  • meet the qualification requirements in subdivision 5;
  • have three or more years of experience providing individual and group counseling to individuals with substance use disorder; and
  • know and understand the implications of this chapter, sections 245A.65, , and , and chapter 260E.
  • Subd. 5.Alcohol and drug counselor qualifications.
  • An alcohol and drug counselor must either be licensed or exempt from licensure under chapter 148F.

Additional Minimum Qualifications

  • Two or more years free from substance use problem behaviors.
  • Experience in crisis and de-escalation skills and working with high-risk clients, responding effectively in all situations.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic Ochin preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive care and Indigenous-informed practices.
  • Strong leadership and ability to mentor multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating traditional Indigenous practices in recovery programs.
  • A License holder serving adolescents and the ability to supervise those with licenses to serve adolescents:

Compensation & Schedule
Pay Range: $70k - $90k (Dependent on experience).

Schedule: 40 hours per week | On-site | Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Up to eight hours of remote work may be earned. Must have ability to commute to site.
