Job Overview:

Charm City Medical Center (CCMC) is seeking a qualified and compassionate Alcohol and Drug Trainee (ADT) to provide individual and group counseling services to clients with substance use disorders. The CAC-AD will play a key role in supporting recovery, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

All duties are performed following COMAR, CARF, and state regulations:

• Provide counseling and education to individuals and groups affected by substance use disorders.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, screenings, and evaluations to determine client needs and appropriate levels of care.
• Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the care team.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on topics such as relapse prevention, recovery skills, and coping strategies.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with CCMC policies and regulatory standards.
• Ensure incoming clients have all completed documentation within appropriate timeframes. Including:
• Treatment plans, and treatment plan reviews
• Weekly and monthly visits as needed
• Psychosocial history and comprehensive assessment
• Interpretive summary
• Transitional plans, discharge plans, and aftercare (as appropriate).
• Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, and community providers to ensure integrated and coordinated care. Specifically,

• Community Support
• Housing programs (if applicable).
• Document all services provided in a comprehensive and timely fashion.
• Participate in case conferences, supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
• Maintain an assigned caseload.
• Ensure client confidentiality and adhere to all applicable laws, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
• Coordinate treatment and care with other staff, including mental health professionals, medical and support staff.

Skills:

• Proficiency in facilitating individual and group counseling sessions.
• Ability to engage and motivate clients in recovery.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation best practices.
• Cultural competency in working with diverse client populations.

Requirements:

• Associates, Bachelor's, or Master's Licensure within the state of Maryland.
• Applicants must currently hold an ADT or ADT-eligible status in the State of Maryland.
• Compliance with State/Federal or Certification/Licensure training requirements and HIPPA regulations.
• Interpersonal and communication skills in sensitive and professional settings.
• Experience working with substance abuse/ mental health/ behavioral health patients (encouraged).

Minimum Years of Experience:

• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience providing substance use disorder counseling or working in addiction treatment or behavioral health services

Pay:

• Starting at $18-23 per hour, depending on experience and performance.

Job Type:

• Full-time, on-site, 6:00 am-2:30 pm M-F.
