The position exists to process and/or assemble small spring components of various types and sizes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follows work order instructions (routers) in order to meet company and customer requirementsThe person can perform one or more of the following functions on the production line: Weld, Assembly, AtlasMicroscopically inspects work performed to ensure the product produced meets specificationsRecord quantities of product finished using standard company methodsMaintains established performance levels on a consistent basisCompletes electronic and paper-based records with speed and accuracyPerform other related duties as assignedEducation:
High School Diploma or GED preferredExperience:
6 months of small-part assembly is preferred but not requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be capable of achieving performance levels as establishedAbility to effectively use microscopes as an essential component of this positionAble to work with calipers and micrometersBasic math skillsPhysical Requirements:
Employee is occasionally required to standWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk throughout the facilityThis position is mainly sedentary; Therefore, required to sitOccasionally will need to bend, stoop and squatFrequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsRequired to reach with hands and arms to handle documents and productsMust be able to enter data into a computer by use of a key board and mouse and be able to sit for long periods at his/her desk as well as occasionally visit employees throughout the building to gather data and clarify informationWork Environment:
The work environment conditions are typical of a manufacturing environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the basic functions. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to moderate, however, hearing protection may be required if employee enters high noise areas as a part of their normal job duties.
