Fast-growing PE secondaries fund in NYC is looking to hire a Senior Fund Controller
— high-impact role with a clear path to CFO / Head of Finance as the firm continues to scale. Reporting directly to the COO, this person will play a huge role in decision-making, strategic growth, and have a voice in how the function evolves.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of fund-level accounting, reporting, and operations across private credit and structured investment vehicles
  • Review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including consolidation of SPVs, blockers, and co-investments
  • Oversee accounting for loan originations, principal and interest accruals, and credit facility activity across senior secured, unitranche, and mezzanine instruments
  • Manage capital activity, waterfall allocations, and carried interest calculations in line with fund governing documents
  • Coordinate year-end audits and liaise with external administrators, auditors, and tax service providers
  • Implement process improvements, evaluate system enhancements, and support automation and scaling initiatives as the platform grows
  • Partner cross-functionally with investor relations, operations, and compliance on fund launches, investor reporting, and new product initiatives

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of fund accounting/controllership experience in the private equity space; must have deep knowledge of multi-tier waterfalls, complex fund structures, investor/regulatory reporting, and LPAs
  • CPA certification required
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams, manage multiple deliverables, and build strong relationships across departments
