What you'll do
- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials with precision.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory accurately within the warehouse management system.
- Engage in order picking processes to fulfill shipping and receiving needs efficiently.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and mechanical reliability.
- Assist in training new team members on warehouse procedures and equipment operation.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving functions.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and cranes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar role within a warehouse setting.
- Background in construction or related fields is a plus.
- Experience supervising or leading teams in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
