Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a 2nd Shift Forklift Operator, where you'll play a crucial role in our warehouse operations In this energetic position, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to ensure efficient materials handling and order fulfillment. Your expertise will help us maintain a smooth workflow while adhering to safety standards and operational excellence.

What you'll do

  • Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials with precision.
  • Manage the order picking process using RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize shipping and receiving operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to maintain mechanical knowledge and ensure safe operation.
  • Perform heavy lifting and materials handling tasks as required to support warehouse activities.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment that complies with OSHA regulations.
  • Support the implementation of warehouse management systems for efficient tracking of inventory.

Basic qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehouse distribution or similar environments.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including cranes and forklifts.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience as an order picker or in shipping & receiving roles.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and materials handling best practices.
  • Prior experience working under a warehouse supervisor or in a leadership capacity is a plus.
