Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect (Cloud Foundations) to lead the design and implementation of foundational cloud infrastructure. This role emphasizes expertise in AWS including landing zone design, IAM, serverless technologies, cloud native architectures, disaster recovery design in the cloud, and cloud cost management. The ideal candidate will also support automation and DevSecOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure and scalable AWS landing zones.
  • Architect and manage AWS EKS clusters for containerized workloads.
  • Develop serverless solutions using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and related services.
  • Establish and enforce IAM policies and role-based access controls.
  • Design disaster recovery and business continuity strategies in AWS.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud cost and usage across AWS accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with cloud security and regulatory standards.
  • Integrate automation and DevSecOps tooling into foundational cloud services.
  • Document cloud architecture, policies, and operational procedures.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of industry experience, with 5+ years in cloud architecture roles.
  • Expert-level knowledge of AWS services including EKS, Lambda, IAM, Organizations, and networking.
  • Experience designing and implementing landing zones and multi-account strategies.
  • Strong understanding of disaster recovery and high availability architectures.
  • Proficiency in cloud cost management tools and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of DevSecOps practices and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to Have:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Experience with AWS Control Tower and Service Catalog.
  • Knowledge of cloud governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $ $90.00 per hour
