Responsibilities:

  • Oversees telemetry monitors; accurately interpreting cardio rhythms and responding appropriately to Telemetry alarms.
  • Demonstrates the ability to operate and troubleshoot all functions of the telemetry monitoring system.
  • Assists Manager in maintaining supplies and equipment on nursing units following infectious control procedures.
  • Communicates admissions, discharges, transfers, and expirations to the appropriate departments.
  • Notifies appropriate departments of patient disposition through computer communications or phone.
  • Performs non-clinical nursing tasks, completes audits, and manages logbooks.
  • Protects confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications:

  • High School or GED
  • BLS, ACLS preferred
  • EKG/Telemetry Training
  • One to Three (1-3) years of clinical experience.
