YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR SUCCESS

A Social Media Administrator / HIV Testing Counselor contributes to AHF by  developing collaborations and partnerships via social media with key stakeholders, such as other community based organizations, business, policy makers, local health service providers, local community boards, coalitions, agencies, etc. in greater EMO of the City of Chicago. These collaborations are critical to identify barriers and develop strategies to promote the use of antiretroviral medications (ARV) for treatment of persons living with HIV and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for persons vulnerable to HIV. The Social Media Administrator/Facilitator will also oversee the facilitations and implementation of the intervention selected for the grant. In addition, manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities including: Develop relevant content topics to reach the organizations target population. Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written and audio/podcast).

A Social Media Administrator / HIV Testing Counselor enhances the reputation of AHF by helping the Public Health Department team within AHF further develop by contributing a team centered attitude and new outreach strategies. In addition, giving feedback to their manager about how service could be improved will allow the team member to enhance their contribution.

AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders. 

The Social Media Administrator / HIV Testing Counselor will work as a part of a close knit team to help CALOR-AHF with our mission to provide compassionate and informing care to our clients. Within their duties of HIV testing, this position has the opportunity to engage in outreach within the community and educate those at risk. Caring, personable and relatable counselors enhance the probability of clients returning for services in the future. Providing the best possible care can also ensure clients are well-informed to protect themselves in the future. 

Licenses/ Certifications: HIV Testing Certification highly preferred.
