Delivery/Service Technician

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Delivery/Service Technician to professionally and safely deliver, install, and service a variety of products, including hot tubs, saunas, swim spas, arcade games, and patio furniture. This role is physically demanding and customer-facing, requiring strong technical skills, clear communication, and time management. A successful candidate will have a clean driving record, be forklift certified, and be able to pass a physical capacities test.

Key Responsibilities:
Delivery, Installation & Removal:

• Deliver and install hot tubs, swim spas, saunas, panel pools, arcade games, and patio furniture.
• Execute cover installations and removals, product disassembly/reassembly, and proper product handling during removals or disposals.
• Coordinate with crane operators for safe product placement and follow all safety protocols when towing and maneuvering trailers.
• Provide a professional and excited orientation to the customer after the product is installed.

Lifting, Carrying & Physical Labor:

• Frequently lift 50+ lbs and occasionally up to 250 lbs. in team assisted lift and often with lifting aids and/or assistance.
• Push/pull objects up to 75 lbs using equipment like dollies and carts.
• Transport items up and down stairs or in/out of vehicles.

Construction, Assembly & Technical Tasks:

• Perform minor plumbing and be familiar with standard electrical testing equipment.
• Assemble panel pools and other large structures per manufacturer instructions.
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues during installation.

Driving & Navigation:

• Operate delivery vehicles and navigate local routes efficiently and safely.
• Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all applicable traffic laws.
• Safely secure trailer loads for transport, ensuring proper weight distribution and compliance with safety regulations.

Customer Interaction & Service:

• Demonstrate professionalism with each customer interaction.
• Provide clear instructions on product use and maintenance.
• Handle customer concerns promptly and politely.
• Communicate with customers via phone and text to provide arrival times, status updates, and a recap of work performed.

Equipment Operation & Maintenance:

• Operate forklift in accordance with safety standards (forklift certification required; training and certification will be provided if not already certified).
• Maintain company vehicles, trailers, and tools to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and in good working condition—vehicle and trailer safety is a company priority.

Events & Trade Shows:

• Participate in product setup and removal for offsite sales events, including work that may occur outside regular business hours, such as evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Organization & Documentation:

• Accurately pick, load, and document water care and delivery products.
• Maintain organized workspaces at warehouses, in vehicles, and job sites.
• Complete all paperwork and digital documentation clearly and timely.
• Maintain accurate notes in the customer profile on the service work order.

Safety & Compliance:

• Adhere to company safety procedures.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical capacities test.
• Use proper lifting techniques and safety gear (PPE) when applicable.
• Follow company safety procedures and best practices to maintain a safe work environment.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling required.
• Frequent climbing, kneeling, crouching, and fine finger dexterity.
• This position requires working primarily outdoors, often in conditions involving temperature extremes and wet weather.
• Work will occasionally include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Qualifications:

• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to pass a physical capacities test.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug screening test.
• Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
• Must demonstrate the ability to safely operate a company vehicle while towing a trailer, including backing up, parking, and navigating in various environments.
