Here at Siemens, we take pride in enabling sustainable progress through technology. We do this through empowering customers by combining the real and digital worlds. Improving how we live, work, and move today and for the next generation We know that the only way a business thrives is if our people are thriving. That's why we always put our people first. Our global, diverse team would be happy to support you and challenge you to grow in new ways. Who knows where our shared journey will take you?

We are developing AI-native products that bring generative intelligence into the physical world. The Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) for AI Data will serve as the operational "single hand to shake" for Siemens' cross-segment AI data strategy—driving the acquisition, development, and deployment of large-scale datasets that support generative AI capabilities across the portfolio. This role will span multiple technologies, teams, and functions—coordinating with Applied Scientists, Engineers, Product Managers, Legal, and external data partners to ensure a unified and compliant approach to AI data readiness. The TPM will be accountable for end-to-end program execution: from defining shared data success metrics to overseeing data acquisition workflows and ensuring legal and ethical standards are met at every stage. This role also carries fiscal and strategic ownership over key AI data investments, including budgeting for licensed datasets, managing vendor engagements, and providing executive-level reporting on delivery progress, risk mitigation, and measurable impact on AI model performance and product integration.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Leading strategic AI data programs from planning through execution, focusing on large-scale data acquisition, annotation, and readiness pipelines that support Siemens' generative AI roadmap.
  • Defining program goals and data success metrics in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners, aligning with evolving model and product needs.
  • Driving enterprise-wide data acquisition efforts, including negotiating licenses, managing vendor relationships, coordinating with external data providers, securing high-quality real and synthetic datasets.
  • Overseeing curation and annotation workflows, ensuring datasets meet Siemens' standards for accuracy, compliance, and downstream ML utility.
  • Coordinating cross-functional alignment with Applied Science, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Product teams to uphold ethical and corporate requirements.
  • Managing program operations—including scope, budget, risk, and resource allocation—for global initiatives with hundreds of contributors.
  • Serving as the single point of contact for AI data initiatives, ensuring cohesive communication and accountability across Siemens.
  • Leading technical and legal reviews of datasets, pipelines, licensing agreements, and documentation to ensure integrity and reusability.
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements in Siemens' data development pipelines through standardization, automation, and best practices.
  • Tracking and reporting program performance, including utilization metrics, milestone progress, and measurable impact on AI model and product success.

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of technical program management experience, including significant experience in AI/ML data programs, corpus development, and localization/data-centric projects
  • Proficiency with program tracking and reporting tools (e.g., JIRA, Smartsheet, MS Project, Tableau, Power BI, Confluence, SharePoint)
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, including occasional international engagements

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven success leading large, complex programs with budgets in the $100M+ range, including AI data acquisition, licensing, or annotation workflows
  • Familiarity with machine learning and LLM development lifecycles, including dataset readiness, documentation, and compliance
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data privacy, and licensing principles across open, commercial, and synthetic datasets
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with Legal, Finance, Engineering, Science, and Product teams to drive data-centric initiatives from concept to delivery
  • Excellent communication skills in English, including executive briefings and technical reporting

About the Team:

We are an early-stage engineering team solving hard technical problems at the intersection of AI, systems, and real-world interaction. We operate with high autonomy, collaborate closely across functions, and maintain high technical standards.
