Job Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused IT Field Technician to provide on-site technical support and maintenance for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in computer management, networking, and troubleshooting across various operating systems. This role involves diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, supporting IT infrastructure, and ensuring seamless user experiences in diverse environments. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with clients, troubleshoot complex technical problems, and contribute to the stability of their IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person technical support for hardware, software, and network issues at client sites
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software problems across operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux
  • Manage computer hardware components such as desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals
  • Configure and support network infrastructure including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and switches
  • Assist with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure components
  • Support desktop environments using tools like Microsoft Office Suite and other productivity applications
  • Use help desk tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira to document issues and track resolutions
  • Perform routine system updates, software installations, and hardware upgrades
  • Collaborate with team members to escalate issues when necessary and ensure timely resolution
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service

Skills

  • Proven experience in technical support or desktop support roles
  • Strong knowledge of computer management and operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux
  • Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewalls, and network troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues using tools like ServiceNow or Jira
  • Experience with software troubleshooting for applications like Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage computer hardware components effectively
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure components including servers and network devices
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
  • Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems such as BMC Remedy or ServiceNow is preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with a customer service-oriented approach
