What You'll Get To Do:
Panasonic seeks a Community Engagement & Operations Specialist to assist the Office of Social Impact and Inclusion's purpose-driven strategy. This role includes responsibility for the employee volunteerism portfolio, budget and accounting oversight, social impact data collection and evaluation, support for business impact groups and other DEI initiatives, and other special projects. This is a full-time, exempt role.
Metrics & Impact:
- Manage the strategy and execution of tracking systems for impact data, ensuring accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of key metrics to senior management.
- Lead the development of presentations and proposals that demonstrate business value add of volunteerism and grantmaking for business leaders to promote continuous company buy-in
- Oversee data collection from various stakeholders in an Impact Dashboard which is presented to senior management to demonstrate the results of volunteering and grantmaking efforts
- Act as the key point of contact with the different in-house Panasonic analytics teams to gather and provide thought leadership on impact data collection
- Manage survey design, execution & analysis.
Community Engagement
- Manage Panasonic North America's volunteering strategy and initiatives, such as goal setting, metric tracking, event hosting, and volunteer related partnerships.
- Develop and implement flagship volunteer programs in honor of major occasions and holidays
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key external and internal senior stakeholders including business leaders, community partners, and employee managers
- Performs volunteer outreach and recruitment and work alongside the marketing department to disseminate recruitment message and announcements
- Build/maintain relationships with volunteers, business impact groups, business leaders and nonprofit counterparts
- Creates outreach materials for individuals and partner organizations
- Collect, organize, and analyze data trends of Panasonic volunteering
Operations
- Assists the OSII team with myriad projects, such as goal alignment, budget planning and reporting, metric development, and other projects, by researching, organizing multiple items of information, ensuring information accuracy, creating spreadsheets, presentations, reports, and meeting all deadlines.
- Assist in the onboarding of new staff and maintain organizational chart accordingly and other pertinent leadership documents
- Provide thorough and detail-oriented planning and support to executive-level meetings and special events including logistics, materials, presentations, taking minutes and follow-up on action items
- Internal communication, including written communications to executives, directors, managers, and all staff, in some cases create drafts emails to be sent to staff
- Manage vendor relationships, process invoices, check requests, and other expenses as needed
Support for Culture & Inclusion Initiatives
- Support and engage Business Impact Groups (BIGs) by providing strategic guidance, resources, and operational support to ensure alignment with corporate employee experience and engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with HRIS and HR teams to streamline data collection processes, integrate Inclusion metrics into reporting systems, and develop tools that support data-driven strategies.
- Partner with the Culture & Inclusion Advisory Board to provide administrative and strategic support, coordinate meetings, and ensure timely follow-up on action items and initiatives.
- Develop and implement resources and tools for BIG leaders to track progress, share best practices, and foster collaboration across groups.
Special Projects
- Leads or provides support for special projects for the OSII team
- Offers admin support and attends meetings and volunteer events.
- Writes and researches tasks, including drafting memos and performing research for presentations and projects, and evaluating data.
- Other projects as needed
What You'll Bring:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Ideally 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a highly visible setting and working with senior management.
- Excellent project management and process improvement skills. PMP Certified preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively across various lines of business and proactively cultivate relationships with a diverse range of internal and external partners.
- Ability to adapt and prioritize effectively around changing deadlines, and flexibility to support other business functions when required.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, a professional and collegial demeanor, and ability to exercise diplomacy
- Ability to handle confidential matters on a regular basis
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategy and think critically across a range of issues and topic areas.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills with a commitment to continual learning.

- Proactive and effective problem-solving capabilities to handle potentially complex problems and resolve conflicts
Communications
- Strong communication, written and verbal, persuasion, and negotiation skills to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel up to executive level both internally and within the customer organization
- Must be able to conduct research and communicate findings effectively
- Ability to interface effectively and professionally working with people on all levels internally and externally
Other Requirements
- Ability to travel with overnight stay
- Participation in evening and weekend events is required

The wage range of $72,000 - $82,000 is just one component of Panasonic's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. *The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
