About the Role
We're looking for a Director of Marketing who can build a strong, data-driven marketing department from the ground up.
This position requires someone who understands numbers — not just traffic and clicks, but profit. You'll use data, tools, and real metrics to ensure Bully Max turns a profit on every first order while growing customer lifetime value through strong retention and reactivation strategies.
You'll oversee all marketing activity tied to Shopify, our main sales platform, while collaborating with other teams to support the company's overall growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing department focused on profitable, measurable growth.
- Oversee and optimize all acquisition channels to ensure profit on the first order, using established tools that factor in cost of goods and margins.
- Manage customer retention strategy — improve repeat purchase rates, build loyalty, and reduce churn.
- Lead and optimize all email and SMS marketing through Klaviyo.
- Own the entire Shopify customer lifecycle, from acquisition to retention.
- Collaborate with the Finance Department to ensure all campaigns meet profitability goals.
- Work closely with our in-house Social Media Department (videographer, social media agent, and graphic designer) to grow owned channels like:
- Email lists
- SMS subscribers
- Shopify traffic and conversions
- TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube presence
- Partner with our TikTok affiliate manager to coordinate ad spend behind high-performing TikTok content that builds top-of-funnel awareness.
- Collaborate with the Amazon team to align strategies that drive overall company growth, even though Amazon operates as a separate department.
- Identify what's working — and double down. Stop what's not.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills; able to make decisions based on numbers, not guesses.
- Proven experience managing profitable marketing campaigns with measurable ROI.
- Deep understanding of Shopify and Klaviyo (email/SMS).
- Experience leading teams and working cross-functionally with creative, finance, and operations.
- Ability to manage multiple channels with a clear focus on bottom-line results.
- Experience in DTC or eCommerce preferred, especially with subscription or high-repeat-purchase products.

- A marketing department built on data, accountability, and results — not opinions or guesswork.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120, $150,000.00 per year
