New York, New York, United States Jennifer Bett Communications Full time $80,000 - $140,000 per year

About Us:

Since JBC launched in January 2014, we've been hyper-focused on one thing, and one thing only: results. About the Job:

In this role, you'll manage and execute day-to-day public relations efforts as well as manage client expectations and team members. • Consistently think outside the box on how to level up client activity, suggest interesting media activations to support brand objectives
  • Strategic plan and execute outreach plan with little to no changes from leadership team
  • Pitch and secure feature stories, brand stories, etc. on national and regional level across online, print, broadcast and podcast media
  • Update all client materials and other written materials
  • Draft press releases
  • Monthly client reporting
  • Communicate with clients regularly via email, phone and in person and build strong relationships with clients, helping to manage client expectations
  • Communicate daily with high-level editors/media and continue to build new and strong relationships with key editors in business, tech media and more
  • Mentor junior staff on a regular basis and working alongside VP to support their development
  • Provide proactive and consistent updates to VP about the health of account, team and overall day-to-day activity

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6-7 years of PR experience (primarily agency experience)
  • A strong editorial network of consumer technology, AI and business editors and writers
  • A clear vision of evolving cultural landscape, with a specific interest in health and wellness industries
  • Curiosity about emerging trends, eagerness to learn and build new skills and try new things
  • Naturally proactive, with outstanding attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills
  • A people person, skilled at building and nurturing relationships, with proven experience in supportive team management
  • A team player, with ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Skilled writer and communicator
  • Ability to both balance many priorities and act resourcefully, all while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Vaccination against COVID-19 is a requirement if hired. Candidates may request an accommodation due to disability, sincerely held religious belief or exception required under applicable law.
