Family Restoration Services LLC is a supervised visitation provider in the Kansas City and surrounding areas.

Parent Aide

Family Restoration Services LLC is currently seeking full and part time parent aides to provide direct service to clients to include transportation, supervised visitation, assessment and education, skill building based on court-ordered goals, and finally coordination of care with Department of Children's Services and other private agencies involved in client services. There is significant driving to and from appointments with this position. The appointments that are made are typically afternoon, evening, and weekends appointments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates scheduling and transportation of visitation between children and parents
  • Provides transportation for children and adults in order to facilitate a visitation schedule
  • Supervised visitations
  • Documents observations of the visit within 48hrs of completion
  • Maintains regular contact with families (through supervised visitation), with caseworkers, and with company supervisors (through regular and frequent email contact)

* Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience working with children and families
  • Proficiency in working with email, word processing and weekly documentation expectations
  • Basic to moderate understanding of child and adolescent developmental behavior
  • Experience working with diverse families (culture, SES, race, ethnicity, religion)
  • Works with families in an empathetic, objective and professional manner
  • Promotes positive parent-child interactions and relationships
  • Models and teaches good parenting and life skills

*Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree is preferred. May substitute equivalent field experience where appropriate. Preferred degrees include ones in social work or human services or related field preferred (psychology, education, criminal justice, child development, education, etc.)
  • Must have some experience working with families and children
  • Must have and maintain a current driver's license with a class E designation and have a clean driving record
  • Must have and maintain current car insurance
  • Must be able to pass a local and federal background check
  • Must have a general knowledge of computers and word processing
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends
  • Must be willing to transport clients
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
