PAY:

Annual base salary range of $50,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience and/or education

POSITION SUMMARY

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a smooth and professional experience across all inquiries, orders, and communications. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams such as Production Planning and Shipping.

The CSR supports both daily operational needs and longer-term customer relationship management. This includes processing orders, providing product information, identifying customer needs, and ensuring timely follow-up. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Serve as a professional and friendly liaison between customers and internal departments.

· Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.

· Process customer orders with accuracy, ensuring all specifications are clear and complete.

· Provide detailed product and service information; offer suggestions or alternatives when appropriate.

· Prepare customer communications, order confirmations, and supporting documentation.

· Coordinate with Production Planning to ensure accurate ship dates and delivery expectations.

· Support the Outside Sales team with quote preparation, account updates, and customer follow-ups.

· Monitor open orders, backlogs, and customer forecasts to ensure timely delivery.

· Problem-solve customer issues by identifying root causes and coordinating corrective actions.

· Maintain accurate customer records, pricing information, and order history.

· Uphold a high standard of professionalism across all customer interactions.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Customer service or sales support experience preferred.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

· Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

· Experience with data analysis or ERP systems preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

· Associate's degree in Business Administration/Management or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and background check.
