Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide essential support and care to individuals in need. This role involves living on-site with the client to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in caregiving, with experience in various aspects of patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), medication administration, and emotional support.

Duties

  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning tailored to dietary needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers and family members.
  • Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication schedules.
  • Provide support for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or autism.
  • Assist clients in participating in community activities to enhance their quality of life.

Requirements

  • Experience working in group homes or assisted living facilities is a plus.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client transfers or mobility assistance.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality and privacy.
  • Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of clients and their families.
