Walters Wholesale Electric, an affiliate of USESI, is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Corporate EV Product Specialist to join our team. This position will be located in our Brea, CA location.

Function:
The Sales role at Walters plays a critical role in driving revenue across Lighting, EV Charging, Solar, Smart Metering, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Responsibilities include proactive business development, client relationship management, collaboration with internal teams, and staying abreast of industry trends. This dynamic position requires effective communication, meticulous performance tracking, and a keen understanding of market dynamics to drive revenue growth and maintain a competitive edge in the energy services industry.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
o Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with organizational objectives.
o Identify key market segments, verticals, and accounts for targeted sales efforts.
o Utilize market insights and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
- New Business Development:
o Proactively prospect and identify new business opportunities within the energy services industry.
o Employ a Hunter and Killer model approach to penetrate new markets and secure new clients.
o Engage with potential clients, build rapport, and articulate value propositions effectively.
- Client Relationship Management:
o Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive retention and loyalty.
o Conduct regular account reviews to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
o Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering tailored solutions to address their evolving needs.
- Technical Expertise and Collaboration:
o Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to leverage technical knowledge and support the sales process.
o Ensure seamless coordination between sales and operations teams to deliver high-quality services.
o Translate technical specifications into compelling value propositions for clients.
- Market Awareness and Industry Insights:
o Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments.
o Monitor competitor activities and identify areas for differentiation and competitive advantage.
o Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on market analysis and intelligence.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline management, and revenue forecasts.
o Track progress against sales targets and objectives, adjusting strategies as needed.
o Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on sales performance and market trends.
- Communication and Collaboration:
o Communicate effectively with internal teams, ensuring alignment and coordination across departments.
o Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to enhance sales collateral and messaging.
o Represent Walters at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
- Strong understanding of EV charging infrastructure, renewable energy technologies, and electrical distribution products.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to identify, pursue, and close complex sales opportunities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and project tracking tools.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Customer-focused mindset with a proactive and consultative approach.
- Ethical conduct, professionalism, and a commitment to achieving results.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving technologies and market conditions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in sales, ideally within electrical distribution, renewable energy, or EV infrastructure.
- Experience working with utilities, contractors, and manufacturers in the EV or clean energy space is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of incentive programs, rebates, and regulations related to EV infrastructure preferred.
Location:
Though Walters is based in Southern California, this Sales role is remote, allowing candidates to work from anywhere in the US.
