Austin, Texas, United States Qualia Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

At Qualia, we've built the leading B2B real estate technology that transforms the home buying and selling experience into a simple, secure, and enjoyable process. Our SMB and Enterprise products bring together users from across the real estate ecosystem-homebuyers and sellers, lenders, title and escrow agents, and real estate agents-onto a single shared digital closing platform, providing greater clarity and transparency to real estate transactions. Today, through our business customers across the country, millions of consumers use Qualia to close on homes every year.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

Qualia is seeking an experienced Product Operations Manager to serve as a strategic partner and force multiplier for our 100-person R&D organization. This is a foundational role—the first of its kind at Qualia—designed to act as a chief of staff for product development, ensuring we build exceptional products efficiently while maintaining high team satisfaction and seamless cross-functional coordination. You'll be the connective tissue that helps R&D scale effectively, removing obstacles, optimizing processes, and empowering product teams to focus on solving real problems for our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess and improve the velocity and quality of product production throughout R&D through data-driven analysis and targeted interventions
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the product development lifecycle, continuously optimizing for speed and quality
  • Establish metrics and reporting systems to measure team performance, product quality, and operational health
  • Introduce and remove processes strategically to improve cross-functional coordination, reduce meeting overhead, and increase employee satisfaction
  • Build and maintain a world-class product operating system that maximizes R&D investment returns
  • Orchestrate roadmap planning processes across all product teams, ensuring alignment with company strategy and cross-team dependencies
  • Act as a trusted advisor to product leadership, proactively identifying challenges and enabling teams with clear solutions
  • Own and optimize the R&D "toolbox" (Jira, Confluence, Figma, etc.) to ensure we're getting the most value from our tools
  • Use data to form and defend your position on process improvements, tracking key metrics to measure impact
YOUR BACKGROUND THAT LIKELY MAKES YOU A MATCH
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in product management, product operations, program management, chief of staff, or strategy and operations roles, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing operational frameworks and processes that measurably improved team performance
  • Deep understanding of the product discipline—you know what great product management looks like and can coach others toward excellence
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives without direct authority. You build consensus and drive change across all levels of an organization, from individual engineers to executives
  • Analytical and strategic with a proven track record of using data to drive decisions and identify operational bottlenecks
  • You solve problems through listening, disambiguating, asking questions, and negotiating trade-offs. You have sound judgment for when to build process and when to remove it.
  • Communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability to synthesize complex information for diverse audiences
  • A "founder's mentality" with a strong bias for action. You are comfortable building from scratch and navigating the ambiguity of a "0 to 1" role
