Position Summary:

The Associate Account Manager builds strategic plans with their retail partners, growing their business while aligning with Relatable's growth targets and key priorities. This role helps execute account plans, track performance, and ensure smooth coordination across sales, marketing, and operations. The position is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual looking to build a career in account management and business development.

Responsibilities:

Account Management & Partner Coordination

  • Lead day-to-day communication with assigned accounts and representative partners.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery, order accuracy, and project alignment.
  • Prepare materials and updates for client meetings, reviews, and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate account information, contacts, and notes.
  • Work with retail partners on promotional plans to grow the business and track spend within budget.
  • Utilize business plans to keep account information current and organized, giving leadership a one-glance view into the account's status.
  • Study your business and know your forecast goals while putting plans in place to help hit them. At the same time, monitor inventory levels at retail to minimize markdowns.
  • Ensure key items and drivers are represented across all accounts.
  • Work with retailers to develop successful out of aisle programs.

Sales & Revenue Support

  • Assist in tracking and reporting account performance and sales metrics.
  • Monitor weekly and monthly reports to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Support execution of promotional programs, campaigns, and retailer initiatives.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to prepare proposals, presentations, and pricing updates.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to ensure accurate billing and reporting.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Brand to align content, messaging, and client-facing materials.
  • Work with Operations and Logistics to resolve project or delivery issues.

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain up-to-date reports on account performance and deliverables.
  • Track project timelines and communicate updates to accounts.
  • Ensure all communications, documentation, and agreements adhere to company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales or account management within consumer products, preferably managing retail partnerships.
  • Current retailer relationships a plus but not required
  • Travel required to home office, account headquarters and showrooms/tradeshows (25%)
  • Enthusiasm for learning and growing within sales or account management.
  • Strong understanding of CRM and retail inventory management systems.
  • Proven ability to analyze market trends and consumer insights to inform account strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, consumer-driven environment and adapt to changing market dynamics.

The Legal bits

The salary range for this role is $65, $85,000.00 annually, plus eligible for an annual target bonus prorated from the start date. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future.
