Job DescriptionBrightspeed is searching for a Project Manager, Engineering & Construction to join our team The Project Manager, Fiber Engineering & Construction is responsible for leading and coordinating the planning, execution, and completion of complex fiber network projects across Homeowner Associations (HOAs) and Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs). This role ensures projects meet design, permitting, budget, and schedule requirements while maintaining compliance and operational excellence. As a key member of the Engineering & Construction team, the Project Manager drives collaboration across cross-functional teams, manages vendor performance, and delivers high-quality, scalable fiber infrastructure solutions.
As Project Manager, Engineering & Construction your responsibilities will include:
- Leading project management efforts for the Engineering & Construction organization, overseeing cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
- Developing and monitoring engineering and construction build plans for various network types and project scopes
- Tracking project milestones and deliverables across internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and permitting requirements
- Managing project budgets and schedules to achieve network readiness targets
- Identifying and removing build roadblocks through collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and government agencies
- Administering vendor contracts, tracking invoices, and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations
- Coordinating internal and vendor work schedules to maintain project timelines and deliverables
- Performing data analysis and developing actionable insights to improve operational efficiency using tools such as Power BI and Power Apps
- Defining, documenting, and optimizing Engineering & Construction processes to support standardization and scalability
- Collaborating with leadership to design and implement future-state processes aligned with program objectives
- Analyzing and interpreting Geographic Information System (GIS) and IQGeo data to support design and build validation
- Creating and delivering training materials, methods and procedures (M&Ps), and communications to support team development and process adoption
- Performing other duties as assigned

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications, with a focus on project management, fiber construction, and network engineering
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent)
- Experience managing vendors and administering contracts within telecom or infrastructure industries
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Confluence, JIRA)
- Working knowledge of telecom network design systems (IQGeo, GIS, SmallWorld)
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Power Apps)
- Understanding of financial and procurement systems (Ariba, SAP, Accounts Payable)
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel) and Adobe tools
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and build cross-functional relationships
BONUS POINTS FOR:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Business, or related discipline
- Familiarity with telecom industry systems such as Fireworks, BidMaster, LeaseNet, Costar, JDS, WFMT, NDS, CLM, APO, FT3, ARMOR, and MARTENS
- Experience with regulatory subsidy compliance and telecommunications permitting
